There have been many powerful tablets being announced in the past weeks and months from the Motorola Xoom to the HP TouchPad. Samsung fans have been dying to find out what the Galaxy Tab line has in store for this year.
This Sunday night at the beginning of MWC, Samsung will announce a newer Galaxy Tab. Interestingly enough, it seems as if Samsung is ditching the 7 inch screen size and jumping to a more spacious 10.1 inch screen. Somehow the tablet will also be thinner and lighter than its predecessor. Also sources say that the Tab will have smaller dimensions than the Apple iPad while having a larger screen. That means it will not have the ugly bezel that plagued the iPad.
Samsung’s new Tab will be a powerhouse with a dual-core Snapdragon processor, probably in the 1 GHz to 1.2 GHz range. Also I predict the RAM storage to double from 512 MB to a more multitasking friendly 1 GB.
On the software side, it will run Google’s latest version of Android, Honeycomb.
