App of the Week – Flight Control

This week for App of the Week, we are featuring Flight Control. Flight Control is a simple, addictive, and challenging game. You are in charge of directing planes in an airfield and have to guide the planes, jets, and helicopters to their runways safely without any collisions.
The game includes five different airfields to navigate ten different types of aircraft. Each map will hold its own challenges and it you will try to beat your high score again and again!
It will cost you $2.99, but it will certainly pass some free time and is better quality than all the free games available on the Android Market. And if you do not like it, then delete it within 15 minutes and you will get a full refund.

Best Buy puts up Galaxy Tab 10.1 Page

With the release of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 just eight days away, Best Buy decided it was time to throw up their product page for it. This means that Best Buy will be selling the Galaxy Tab 10.1. There is no release date posted, but it is safe to assume that it will be the same June 8th we have been hearing about since CTIA. Another interesting not is the lack of a price. This is an indicator that Samsung is still wrestling over the price points of their spectacular device. Hopefully they choose $399 instead of $499.
Best Buy lists in the specs that it is powered by Tegra 2, so that pretty much ends the debate as to what CPU/GPU it has.

Galaxy Tab 8.9 Passes Through the FCC

The Galaxy Tab 10.1 is only a few days away, but most people are more excited about the smaller Galaxy Tab 8.9. Samsung announced that it would be released “early this summer.” Passing through the FCC means it still is on track for a summer release.
For $469, $30 less than the Galaxy Tab 10.1, this tablet can be yours. It will come in 16 GB and 32 GB varieties for the aforementioned $469 and $569.
Are you waiting for the 8.9 and why?

Honeycomb 3.1 to be on Galaxy Tab 10.1 at Launch

Google’s less than a month old OS upgrade is going to be making its way to the Galaxy Tab 10.1 before we are able to buy it. In case you forgot, the 3.1 update gives developers widget resizing APIs, scrollable task switcher, and just general bug fixes and optimization.
Hopefully this does not delay the release of the Wi-Fi version of the 10.1 inch slate. I think that we can all agree that we have waited long enough and want to get our hands on the tablet now and get OTA updates when they are ready. Samsung Mobile was scheduled to have an event May 24th but postponed it. Let’s hope that Samsung does not push the release date back too! The official word is and has always been that there will be a June 8th release of the tablet. Recently on Twitter, Samsung said the Galaxy Tab 10.1 was days from launching.
