The Galaxy Tab 8.9 Wi-Fi has already hit the FCC, but now it is time for the 3G version to get handled by the FCC. The interesting thing here is that it has 3G bands for the AT&T network. Without a doubt AT&T will call it the Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G even though it only has 3G bands, but what are you doing to do.
The Galaxy Tab 8.9 is due out this summer so maybe the Wi-Fi and 3G models will be here in the next month.

Have of the fun of having an Android device is all of the hacking that can be done to it. Well Ubuntu was just ported over to the Galaxy Tab 10.1. Now you can run all of your favorite Ubuntu programs on your Galaxy Tab 10.1 or 10.1v.
I won’t get into how to install it because you can find out how to do that over at GalaxyTabHacks.com. The one thing I will say is that you must be rooted to enjoy the slick Linux build.
Ubuntu will not replace Android on your device or even be dual booted. Instead Ubuntu will run in a virtual box on top of Android, but it is still snappy on the 1 GHz Dual-Core CPU.

Well how about that folks. The Galaxy Tab 10.1 gets some 4G LTE love from Verizon before the Motorola Xoom. Verizon put the 10.1 up for pre-order on their website today in the same four different configurations available for the Wi-Fi model: 16GB/32GB in either white or grey.
A two year contract is required to get the $529 and $629 price points for the 16GB and the 32GB models respectively. That is $30 more than the Motorola Xoom costs on contract, but it does come preinstalled with 4G LTE radios. The tablets will ship in 4-6 weeks, so pre-order now!

Are you thinking about buying the Galaxy Tab 10.1 but want to give it a little test drive? Well Samsung has put up an interactive tutorial that will likely bore your socks off. It is a good tool to use if you are new to Android and need some help with the basics of the tablet, but if you want to play with the Galaxy Tab 10.1 you are better off stopping by a Best Buy store.
