App of the Week – Reddita

Today marks the first App of the Week since I got my Galaxy Tab 10.1. What does that mean for you? A Honeycomb app for App of the Week. The first app is Reddita, a Reddit browser.

For those of you that do not know what Reddit is, you are really missing out. You can find anything from controversial news to pictures that will put a smile on your face.

Reddita uses a new API called fragments to display data. Fragments are columns that – well I will just let Google explain.

A Fragment represents a behavior or a portion of user interface in an Activity. You can combine multiple fragments in a single activity to build a multi-pane UI and reuse a fragment in multiple activities. You can think of a fragment as a modular section of an activity, which has its own lifecycle, receives its own input events, and which you can add or remove while the activity is running.

You can browse the topics using the left column and have the contents in the right. To view the comments you can just click on the comment icon in the left column.

Reddita is the best way to browse Reddit on a tablet.
