Galaxy Tab 10.1 Update

Galaxy Tab 10.1 TouchWiz UX update coming soon

Stock Honeycomb is nice but I have been waiting patiently for the future TouchWiz update. Samsung recently changed the wording from future update to coming soon. I have reason to believe that coming soon means in the next week or two.

With the release of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 software update coming soon, your already powerful Galaxy Tab will get even better. Here’s a look at the new features and enhancements currently scheduled to be included. Don’t forget to check back for information on the latest software updates.

The update includes a host of new features, but most notably is thew new TouchWiz UX. It bring Live Panels to the homescreen which are really just useful widgets. Also it has a Mini Apps Tray that can be brought up any time. The Mini Apps tray has things like a calculator, task manager and other useful tools that are displayed as an overlay on the current app. Another cool benefit brought by the update is a more powerful clipboard. The last major feature is an enhanced notifications bar in the bottom left that allows you to toggle features like Wi-Fi, sound and other settings.

Follow the source link below to see all the exciting features you will be getting on your Galaxy Tab 10.1. Are you looking forward to the TouchWiz UX update?

TouchWiz? More like “Galaxy Tab about to get worse”. Please at least make your fisher-price overlay optional or removable.

It is supposed to be an optional upgrade.

Can you get honeycomb (and later) updates without it? Or is the choice to not upgrade at all vs getting TouchWiz?

        • Kyle Dornblaser

Most likely you will not get Honeycomb updates without it.

            *Sigh. Return as defective, then.

You might like it though. I have never liked TouchWiz in the past but this one looks good.
