Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus

Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus Wi-Fi clears FCC and priced

So the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus has a Wi-Fi only version coming out soon. It has just cleared the FCC and is up for pre-order on J&R for only $399. That $399 will buy you a pretty impressive seven inch slate. It packs a 1.2 GHz Dual Core chip, 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage.

The specs fairly decent, but are a huge disappointment compared to the Galaxy Tab 7.7. The 7.7 rocks a Super AMOLED Plus display with an HD resolution, while the Plus is stuck with the same resolution as the orignal Galaxy Tab.

Are you interested in the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, or just frustrated that its the Galaxy Tab 7.7?

FAR too expensive — to close to an iPad2 with a larger screen and lots more glam factor (but no GPS), and twice the price of an Amazon Fire — $200 for a camera (which is useless in a tablet), an extra 8G, GPS and an SD slot.

Do not forget that you get all of Google’s services in the Galaxy Tab like the Android Market and Gmail, but you do not get these on the Kindle Fire.

Plus this particular tablet would not compete directly with the iPad 2 since it has a seven inch screen, therefore making it insanely more portable.

The Galaxy 7.7 is the tablet I am waiting for. It has all I need, in a sleek small packing. On my opinion, this is the product Apple should be worried about.

Additionally, some of the benefits of Android over Apple OS are
    – installation of iTune software is not required (slow down system for PC owner),
    – possibility to install widjet on screen (I do not understant why Apple OS is not widjet friendly)
    – flash web site can be accessed.

    Ship it please!
