BGR is reporting that Samsung is working on a 11.6 inch Galaxy Tab. The 11.6 inch screen will have a stunning 2560 x 1600 display with a 16:10 ratio. That is exactly four times as many pixels currently on the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and 8.9. The tablet will end up being “barely larger” than the current 10.1 due to a smaller bezel.
We are already seeing the first quad-core Android tablets emerge so it can be easy to overlook the dual-core chipset on the Galaxy Tab 11.6. That would be a mistake because the 2GHz dual-core Exynos 5250 CPU will likely blow most other CPUs out of the water. Apple will use a very similar CPU for the next iPad and call it their A6 CPU. Of course all of this is rumors.
We might see this devices unveiled at Mobile World Congress this February with Ice Cream Sandwich on-board.
What do you think of the Galaxy Tab 11.6 rumors? Are the specs enticing? Is it too large? Let us know in the comments!
