OverSkreen – a floating browser window
Android has always been capable of multitasking, but only being able to access one app at a time is very limiting. OverSkreen takes a cue from TouchWiz’s Mini Apps and lets you use a browser on top of other apps. You can even open up several instances of OverSkreen to have side by side browsers.
There is window buttons like those found on Windows and OS X. They will minimize, enlarge to take up the full screen, and exit the window. The window can be resized and moved around as you please. When you minimize the window, it leaves an item in notification center that can be clicked to reopen OverSkreen from where you left off.
Using the browser just makes me pine for more though. It makes me want to be able to resize any app to have multiple apps on a screen. What I really want is Windows 8 snapping. Unfortunately, this is as close as it gets for now. OverSkreen is pretty good, but I want more. If you are interested, then click on the install link on the widget below to be redirected to the Google Play store. The app costs $1.99.
