Galaxy Note 10.1 to receive Android 4.1 Jelly Bean by years end

The Galaxy Note 10.1 is now available and is running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Ice Cream Sandwich is nice, but users really want Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Roger Cheng, Executive editor for CNET News, Tweeted, “Merrill says the Note 10.1 will have a Jelly Bean upgrade later this year.” Merrill is a director of marketing at Samsung.

Hopefully the update comes sooner rather than later, but it looks like we will see it before 2013.

I am a disappointed owner of a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 WiFi version. Unfortunately My tablet, at this time of year, is still running honeycomb and no ICS is still available. I don’t believe the timelines offered by Samsung, since they have proven me they are the slowest to update the SW, compared to other vendors. I believe that I will be selling it to change for an Asus, that actually updates their devices on time. How slow can this be?
