The Galaxy Note 2 is slated to be unveiled on August 29th in Berlin, Germany just before IFA officially begins. GSM Arena believes that they might have an official press photo of the device. Their source is uncertain of its authenticity though. You can see the photo in question above.
The source also provided some tech specs with the photo. The screen is said to be 5.5 inches with a 1280 x 800 display resolution. Because the screen is 0.2 inches larger than the Galaxy Note and the same screen resolution, the pixels per inch will be slightly lower on the Galaxy Note 2. The processor is a quad-core Exynos clocked at 1.5 GHz. An 8 MP rear facing camera was also confirmed by the source.
Samsung is said to be working on Android 4.1 for the Galaxy Note 2, so it will probably end up launching with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The company also supposedly tested higher resolution screens, but found them too battery hungry.
More rumors and leaks will flow in as we get closer to the August 29th announcement.
