Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 Student Edition officially announced

The Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 Student Edition was rumored to be released and now we have an official press release from Samsung about it. The Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 Student Edition will only be available for a limited time, August 19th – September 1st.

This package deal comes with an 8 GB Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, keyboard dock, and USB adapter. The keyboard dock and USB adapter are valued at $100. The entire bundle costs $250, which is the price the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 normally sells for.

It is clear that Samsung is trying to sell its remaining stock after the Nexus 7 bested it in nearly every way. The Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 is still a decent tablet and the keyboard dock is a nice addition.

The retailers listed to provide this deal are Best Buy, Amazon, Tiger Direct, Costco and Fry’s.
