Galaxy Tab 10.1 gets unofficial CyanogenMod9 Ice Cream Sandwich port

The Galaxy Tab 10.1 will be getting the official CyanogenMod9 ROM soon, but this is what is known as a KANG ROM. Basically it is somebody else’s code compiled by another person. The official ROM should be released shortly and this particular ROM is not supported by CyanogenMod. Make sense? Good.
Here are my first impressions. The boot animation is terrible, but hardly an issue. The actual ROM is smooth and apps seem to work fine, except the camera.
Go ahead and download this ROM from XDA.

Original Galaxy Tab not getting Ice Cream Sandwich update

If anybody is surprised about this news, then you were living in denial expecting Samsung to upgrade the original Galaxy Tab currently running Froyo or Gingerbread all the way up to Ice Cream Sandwich. The company has made no attempt to even upgrade it to Honeycomb, so it was already apparent that it would not be getting Ice Cream Sandwich.

Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE going through FCC

The Galaxy Tab 7.7 is looking more and more promising for the United States. We already saw it appear in Verizon’s inventory systems, but not it is passing through FCC with Verizon LTE.
Personally, I can not wait until I am able to get this device. Here is hoping that a Wi-Fi version will appear soon.
