LTE Galaxy Tab 8.9 to feature 1.5 GHz processor?

Reports are saying that the Galaxy Tab 8.9 with LTE might be unveiled in New York on August 26th. That itself is quite mundane, but there are speculations that the Galaxy Tab 8.9 with LTE will pack a 1.5 GHz processor. For those of you that are keeping track at home that is a whole 500 MHz faster than the 1 GHz dual-core chipset in the Galaxy Tab 10.1.

Second gen Galaxy Tab 7 will have a 7.7 inch screen

A leaked image was found from Samsung Mobile Unpacked was found earlier showing an image with the names of three unannounced products: Samsung Galaxy Note, Samsung Wave 3, and Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7. These products will be revealed at IFA September 1st, 2011 in Berlin. We were already expecting a second generation Galaxy Tab 7, but it now looks like it will be known as the Galaxy Tab 7.7. We can assume that it will have a 7.7 inch screen because of its name. We do not know anything about the specs, but it is safe to say that it will feature at least dual-core processor running Honeycomb 3.2 with TouchWiz UX.
The Galaxy Note could be a note taking device to replace the vaporware that Note Slate promised, but that is complete speculation.

Minor OTA update to the Galaxy Tab 10.1

Samsung rolled out a small OTA update yesterday bringing bug fixes to the Galaxy Tab 10.1 Wi-Fi. There is no sign of a changelog but the download is 3.22 MB. The new version number is P7510UEKME.
The whole process took about ten minutes. That seems like a long time for a 3.22 MB file, but what are you going to do. Be sure to be patient while the Tab updates and not try to power it off or on manually because it could harm your device.
I have not noticed any of the bug fixes yet and it is too soon to tell if there is any speed increase. I would recommend you download this if you have the TouchWiz UX update because it will fix minors bugs.
To get the update just go to Settings > About Tablet > Software Update > Update.

Buy a Samsung TV get a Galaxy Tab 10.1 free at Best Buy

If you are in the market to buy a new big screen TV, then this might be something to consider. From August 21st to 27th when you buy a Samsung HDTV for $1499 or more you receive one 16 GB Galaxy Tab 10.1 Wi-Fi free. That is quite a good deal considering that the Galaxy Tab 10.1 costs $500 (1/3 the cost of the HDTV). Is an $1499+ HDTV in your price range?

German court suspends injunction in Europe until Samsung can defend themselves

Germany has lifted the injunction for the rest of the European Union (it still banned in Germany). My understanding is that a German court cannot ban a product from South Korea for the rest of the European Union.
The ruling may change after August 25th once Samsung has a chance to defend themselves. I cannot imagine that the courts will still be on Apple’s side once Samsung is able to make a case for themselves. After all Apple was caught altering images in the case.
