Galaxy Note documents found on T-Mobile’s website
The Galaxy Note for T-Mobile is sure taking a long time to be announced. We have been hearing rumors for what seems like forever. Now support documents for the Galaxy Note have appeared on T-Mobile’s servers. You can see them for yourself here, but you won’t be able to read any of the documents because they are password protected.

Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus gets Ice Cream Sandwich in Austria
Austrian Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus owners are finally going to get some sweet Ice Cream Sandwich action. This update brings the Android OS up to Android 4.0. It is available for download via Kies or OTA (Over The Air). Just go into your settings and prompt it to check for a software update.
It is good to see Samsung delivering on their promise for Ice Cream Sandwich updates this month, but when will the other tablets like the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and 8.9 get their official upgrade?

AT&T Galaxy Note getting Android 4.0 update tomorrow, July 10
The AT&T Galaxy Note has been chugging away with Gingerbread since launch, but is finally about to receive a huge update tomorrow. It will be getting upgraded from Android 2.3 to 4.0 and be getting a “Premium Suite” of features. The “Premium Suite” includes more apps specifically made for the S Pen stylus. It is looks like Samsung put some time into the apps and they are not just bloatware.

UK Judge says Galaxy Tab’s design is “not as cool” as the iPad’s
A UK Judge ruled in favor of Samsung today claiming that the Galaxy Tab does not infringe on the iPad’s design. He bluntly states that “they are not as cool” as the iPad and “do not have the same understated and extreme simplicity which is possessed by the Apple design.” The iPad and the Galaxy Tab line are not hard to tell apart. Frankly I am shocked that Samsung’s lawyers were unable to pick out which was a Galaxy Tab and which was an iPad in court last year.
Samsung shot this reply back after winning the UK ruling – “should Apple continue to make excessive legal claims in other countries based on such generic designs, innovation in the industry could be harmed and consumer choice unduly limited.” I completely agree. Apple’s suing has been out of control for some time now.

Galaxy Tab 7.7 updated to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
The Galaxy Tab 7.7 (GT-P6800) has an update to Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich available on Kies. Kies is a desktop application that you can sync and update your devices with. I am not sure why this is not an over the air update.

Galaxy Note coming to T-Mobile on August 8th

T-Mobile USA might be joining the Galaxy Note party on August 8th. The Galaxy Note is a great phone, but with rumors of a Galaxy Note 2 being released in the coming months, I feel bad for T-Mobile users. AT&T had to wait a few months to get the 5.3 inch super phone and T-Mobile will have had to wait most of a year. Hopefully T-Mobile users will be happy to get the device though.

Galaxy Note 2 rumored for September with 5.5 inch display?
GSM Arena has some information from “an insider source, whom we have good reasons to trust” about the Galaxy Note 2. They claim that the second Galaxy Note phone will have a 5.5 inch Super AMOLED screen. The design of the phone will take cues from the Galaxy S III. The Galaxy Note 2 is also said to have a smaller horizontal footprint than the original Note, even though the screen size will be larger. This could mean that there will be an almost border-less display and the screen will run to the edge.

Which Galaxy Tabs will get Android 4.1 Jelly Bean?
Samsung has not told us which devices will be receiving Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, but I will make some educated guesses based off of past trends. Samsung usually gives one core Android update. The updates do tend to take quite a long time though. First let me tell you which devices almost definitely will not receive the update. The original Galaxy Tab, Galaxy Tab 10.1v, Galaxy Tab 10.1, Galaxy Tab 8.9, Galaxy Tab 7.7, Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, and the Galaxy Note will not get the update. Most of those devices will end up on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich though.
