The Galaxy Note 10.1 was announced some time ago, but still is not available. It seems fair to assume that Samsung has decided to remake it with the latest specs. Benchmarks were spotted for the quad-core version of the Galaxy Note 10.1 and you can view them in the image below.

Galaxy Note Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0) OTA update available
Twitter user blue13x posted a screenshot of an update notification for Ice Cream Sandwich on a Galaxy Note. His device is most likely the international GT-N7000 version because his Twitter profile lists his location as the Netherlands. The AT&T version will hopefully see the same update soon.

Samsung is promoting app development for its tablets with $4,080,000 contest
Samsung is holding a contest dubbed Smart App Challenge to promote application development for both the Galaxy Tab and the Galaxy Note line. There will be 80 winners – 60 Samsung Apps Super Apps and 20 apps which feature creative ways to use the S-Pen stylus for the Galaxy Note. The 60 Samsung Apps Super Apps will be broken up into top 30 games and top 30 non-games. They will be chosen by users by the number of downloads. The 20 S-Pen apps will be chosen by a panel. The cash prizes for both range from $30,000 to $200,000 USD. On top of the cash prize, Samsung potentially could advertise the winning applications on TV and other media to promote their tablets.

Canada Galaxy Tabs getting Ice Cream Sandwich
Canadian Galaxy Tabs and Galaxy Note are starting to get updated to Ice Cream Sandwich today. The tablets to receive the update are the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, Galaxy Tab 8.9, Galaxy Tab 10.1 and the 5.3 inch Galaxy Note. The Galaxy Tab 7.0 is also listed to receive the upgrade, but I wouldn’t count on the original Galaxy Tab to receive the Ice Cream Sandwich update. Though the updates are starting to roll out already, they have allotted the whole quarter to finish the roll out process.
