New Galaxy Tab to be announced May 3rd?

Invites to Samsung Mobile Unpacked 2012 in London are being sent out now. My lowly blog did not make the invite list, but the event will be held on May 3rd. The invitation only has three abstract blobs and the words “COME AND MEET THE NEXT GALAXY” printed on it. Most of the tech website are immediately assuming that this means “COME AND MEET THE GALAXY S III” or whatever name Samsung chooses for their Android flagship phone. I, however, read it as “COME AND MEET THE NEXT GALAXY LINE.”

So will we see a Galaxy Tab or Galaxy Note tablet on May 3rd? Maybe. Until then all we can do is wait.

Second gen Galaxy Tab 7 will have a 7.7 inch screen

A leaked image was found from Samsung Mobile Unpacked was found earlier showing an image with the names of three unannounced products: Samsung Galaxy Note, Samsung Wave 3, and Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7. These products will be revealed at IFA September 1st, 2011 in Berlin. We were already expecting a second generation Galaxy Tab 7, but it now looks like it will be known as the Galaxy Tab 7.7. We can assume that it will have a 7.7 inch screen because of its name. We do not know anything about the specs, but it is safe to say that it will feature at least dual-core processor running Honeycomb 3.2 with TouchWiz UX.

The Galaxy Note could be a note taking device to replace the vaporware that Note Slate promised, but that is complete speculation.
