Samsung temporarily stops TouchWiz UX updates to make sure it’s a positive update

It looks like Samsung is halting the TouchWiz UX update to “assess progress and ensure it’s a positive experience for customers.” Some are speculating that there is a bug with the update that has a negative impact. I hope that Samsung is actually caring what users have to say about the update. Personally it has been a positive experience for me and my Galaxy Tab 10.1 is better for having it.

Let us know in the comments your experience with the TouchWiz UX update!

Galaxy Tab 10.1 software update available now

Samsung said that the update would be available today and it is! You can update it now by going to Settings > About Tablet > System Updates > Update. Your device will then begin downloading the 188 MB software update. Once it has finished downloading, the device will reboot and spend roughly 15 minutes installing the update. That is it! It is a painless update.

Look out for an in-depth look at the update this weekend.

Italian Galaxy Tab 10.1 shipping with TouchWiz UX, US update imminent?

Samsung released the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Italy a few days ago and TouchWiz UX was already installed on the tablets. The US release is due out any day now. I for one and checking for System Updates daily.

There is a video walkthrough of an Italian Galaxy Tab 10.1 with TouchWiz UX after the break. It looks just as snappy as sock Honeycomb (some things look even faster!).

What do you think of TouchWiz UX? Let us know in the comments or on the forums.
