Verizon users can finally download the TouchWiz update on their LTE Galaxy Tab 10.1s. The update is 351 MB, so downloading it could take several minutes depending on your connection. Want to know more about TouchWiz UX? We have a much more in-depth look at it here. Personally, I find it to be an improvement…
Samsung has been hard at work putting TouchWiz on top of Ice Cream Sandwich. They have made a lot of progress on a custom ROM for the Galaxy S II. The current leak ROM is not ready for general consumption, but it shows that Samsung is hard at work. The Galaxy Tab line should not…
Samsung rolled out a small OTA update yesterday bringing bug fixes to the Galaxy Tab 10.1 Wi-Fi. There is no sign of a changelog but the download is 3.22 MB. The new version number is P7510UEKME.
The whole process took about ten minutes. That seems like a long time for a 3.22 MB file, but what are you going to do. Be sure to be patient while the Tab updates and not try to power it off or on manually because it could harm your device.
I have not noticed any of the bug fixes yet and it is too soon to tell if there is any speed increase. I would recommend you download this if you have the TouchWiz UX update because it will fix minors bugs.
To get the update just go to Settings > About Tablet > Software Update > Update.
It looks like Samsung is halting the TouchWiz UX update to “assess progress and ensure it’s a positive experience for customers.” Some are speculating that there is a bug with the update that has a negative impact. I hope that Samsung is actually caring what users have to say about the update. Personally it has been a positive experience for me and my Galaxy Tab 10.1 is better for having it.

Samsung said that the update would be available today and it is! You can update it now by going to Settings > About Tablet > System Updates > Update. Your device will then begin downloading the 188 MB software update. Once it has finished downloading, the device will reboot and spend roughly 15 minutes installing the update. That is it! It is a painless update.
Look out for an in-depth look at the update this weekend.
